Since 1989, A&M Mechanical has completed HVAC and plumbing contracts for multi-million-dollar projects ranging from high-profile resort and residential buildings, to airport and other transportation facilities, to hospitals and academic institutions. A sampling of projects is provided by category.
The company has participated in several specialized projects such as the installation of a jet fuel line for the
Ft. Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and the installation of a chilled water line at Miami International Airport. Both of these projects required very specific technical expertise which we were able to bring to the table. Our diversity of experience has proven an invaluable asset.
In the Commercial Structures arena, some of our contracts have included innovative "green" projects designed to be healthier, more environmentally responsible structures. One such project is the
Brickell Financial Center, a 40-floor structure offering premier office space in downtown Miami. Other commercial projects include various Miami International Airport Cargo buildings and the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines building at the Port of Miami.
We also participated in the construction of the
U.S.D.A. Aphis Facility at Miami International Airport, a facility used to house plants and animals entering the United States from foreign countries, as well as several medical facilities including the
Veteran’s Administration State Nursing Home.
The company has completed HVAC and plumbing system installations in several mixed-use high rise condominium buildings such as
Met 1, the earliest stage of a developing high-rise complex in metropolitan Miami's business district,
The Ivy, a 45-floor residential building in the Riverfront West Complex, and its sister building,
The Mint - the fifth tallest building in Miami, at 55 floors and 631 feet.
A&M Mechanical also participated in the construction of
Acqualina Resort & Spa, a five-star, beach-front resort located between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Owned by the Trump Group, Acqualina features a 51-floor tower with more than 180 residential units and more than 90 resort suites, as well as multiple dining rooms, a spa and meeting rooms. Other similar projects include the
W Hotel in South Beach, the
Ritz Carlton in Key Biscayne and the
Trump Sonesta Ocean Grande in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
In the Entertainment facilities sector, we participated in a combined retrofit and new construction project at
Florida International University’s Golden Panther Stadium which includes luxury seating suites and press box, in addition to offices, locker rooms and a gymnasium complete with training facility. We also participated in the
Jungle Island project, a park attraction offering interactive animal and bird encounters from all over the world in a natural habitat.
